A classical pianist and chorister in her youth, Lindsay Sterling went on to sing at Middlebury College in an a cappella group, a folk-rock duo, and in musical theater before embarking on a career in communications.
After writing for The New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, and Food Network Magazine, she directed communications for Silicon Valley startups, nonprofits, and universities. From 2019-2022, Lindsay led a team of 9 writers, editors and proofreaders in producing digital and print communications for Sunbasket, a national eco-friendly meal kit service. Most recently, she led marketing and donor communications for a team of the nation’s top nutrition researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Previously she led fundraising communications for 317 Main Community Music Center, helping to build a 200-seat performance hall and additional classrooms to expand youth programming. As a member of her local school board, she raised public and private funds to expand and renovate Freeport High School, adding much needed STEAM classrooms, athletic facilities, and ADA accessibility.
Lindsay is a lifelong musician who enjoys studying, writing, arranging, recording, and releasing music across genres. Her original compositions can be found on your favorite digital music platform.
