Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Susan McMane
To honor Susan McMane's life work, YWCP has created the Susan McMane Visionary Fund. This Fund will support three areas dear to Susan and essential to YWCP’s future—creating new music, expanding access, and building the future.
Creating New Music
Susan promoted the growth of treble choral literature for young voices by commissioning new work. We will continue to give future generations of YWCP singers the opportunity to be protagonists in how the choral art evolves.
Expanding Access
Susan founded YWCP with the idea that the organization should be made available to every young woman who wants to sing, regardless of financial means. Scholarships expand access to our highest quality choral experience to the San Francisco community at large.
Building the Future
Susan envisioned YWCP as an enduring leader in harnessing the essential power of young women’s voices. This area of funding will focus on enhancing artistic and organizational growth, and giving wings to new YWCP programs and initiatives.
