Jeanette Wilkin Tietze holds degrees in piano and violin pedagogy from the Hochschule fur Musik in Vienna and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from San Francisco State University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Berkeley, and a teaching certificate from the Kodaly Center at Holy Names University.
Jeanette has taught singing and musicianship to children in several schools, including 14 years at Convent of the Sacred Heart in San Francisco, and been an accompanist for many choirs including Dominican Chorale, Marin Symphony Chorus, National Children’s Honor Choir (Chicago), and the Albany High School and Middle School choirs.
Jeanette is entering her 7th year accompanying the Young Women’s Choral Projects. She is currently the music director and organist at the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Mill Valley, performs as a soloist and chamber musician with the Quantum Quintet, and teaches privately.
