Tour Covid Protocols
All singers, chaperones, and staff will do a symptom check as well as an at-home antigen test the morning of the flight and show a photo of your negative test to a YWCP staff member at the airport. If anyone shows signs of COVID they will not be able to board the plane.
Out of an abundance of caution, we will ask all choristers and staff to wear a KN95 mask or equivalent when we are on flights, in airports, and on intercity bus rides. During other activities, we will follow the “masks recommended” protocol from our current COVID-19 Health Safety Plan.
Singers wearing a mask during a concert will be required to use the VocalEase mask, as it allows for the most uniformity of sound.
Testing during tour
We will request singers to pack rapid tests as we will perform mandatory periodic rapid antigen testing throughout the tour. Please contact us if your family needs financial assistance in this regard. If a participant displays any COVID symptoms at any given time, we will test them immediately. =
Everyone will be asked to test on:
If a tour participant tests positive, we will isolate them immediately. YWCP has booked two extra twin rooms at each hotel, to be prepared in advance for quarantine situations. If a singer tests positive, they will be supported by one of our chaperones, who will stay with them until they test negative and can travel again.
We understand that social bonding with different roommates is an important part of the tour experience. Out of an abundance of caution, and in line with a multi-layered approach to minimize risk, we have limited the roommate switching to two. We will adjust arrangements as necessary during the tour itself.
