Dolce Singers

  • For girls ages 4 and 5

  • Meets once a week on Tuesdays from 4:00-4:45pm

  • No previous music training needed

  • Non-auditioned class

Dolce Singers emphasizes a foundation for healthy singing while engaging the whole child in fun, interactive musical learning. It’s a great way to explore a girl’s interest in music and singing, and her potential for future opportunities in YWCP.

Using a Kodály-inspired curriculum, class members build basic musicianship skills and vocal technique while actively engaging their minds, bodies and voices in folk songs and dances, music games, simple percussion playing and age-appropriate unison choral music. Dolce Singers performs for their parents in December and May. The class is limited to 15 singers.

Dolce Singers meets September-May. The annual tuition is $970 and includes a Dolce T-shirt. Scholarships are available.

Arietta Singers

  • For girls ages 6 and 7

  • Meets once a week on Tuesdays from 4:00-5:30pm

  • No previous music training needed

  • Non-auditioned class

Our new vision for Arietta Singers continues to emphasize a foundation for healthy singing while  engaging the whole child in fun, interactive musical learning. It is an outstanding way to prepare a young singer for the more challenging curriculum and rehearsal schedule of YWCP’s training choirs.

Using a Kodály-inspired curriculum, class members build basic musicianship skills and vocal technique while actively engaging their minds, bodies and voices in folk songs and dances, music games, and unison choral music. In this class, more emphasis is placed on choral music and group performance skills.

Arietta Singers meets September-May. The annual tuition is $1400 plus costume costs. Scholarships are available.

As of now we are planning on our 2021-2022 season being taught in person. Given the current uncertainties due to the coronavirus, we are closely monitoring the CDC and government guidelines, and will adhere to their recommendations for gathering together to sing. We are planning multiple scenarios that may be used this fall as necessary, to keep everyone safe, yet creatively engaged in making music!
